About Giro Imperial Shoe
To make a full-featured shoe that rivals minimalist designs in weight, Giro created the Imperial road shoe, which features their own ultralight monofilament Synchwire mesh upper that fits and feels like a second skin.

The Imperial's Synchwire upper features BOA® IP1 dials and soft lace guides, which allow you to adjust your fit on the fly while reaping the benefits of the shoe's light weight. Thermal-welded Teijin® TPU adds structural support exactly where it's needed, and a high-modulus Easton® EC90 SLX2 carbon fiber plate provides ultimate stiffness-to-weight for power transfer. Their adjustable SuperNatural Fit footbed system is the final touch, allowing you to customize arch support right out of the box for luxurious comfort and optimal pedaling efficiency.

Features
Synchwire: Synchwire construction is a stitch-less upper that's vented and reinforced to create a lightweight cycling shoe with incredible airflow and structural integrity. Synchwire is an advanced composite of thermo-bonded film that provides overall durability, a non-woven internal sheet for distributing the force from the closure system to the upper for direct power transfer, and mono-filament mesh for ventilation.

BOA® IP-1 Dials: The BOA® IP-1 Fit System provides fast, two-way micro-adjustability with the turn of the dial. The combination of the dial, lace, and guides reduces weight and provides finer adjustment (1mm increments) compared to traditional buckles, and it offers an instant release function, too. BOA Fit System dials and laces are guaranteed for the lifetime of the product.

Easton® EC90™ SLX2 Carbon Outsole: Giro Easton-engineered outsole features EC90™ high modulus carbon for class-leading stiffness- to-weight, with a flat perimeter edge that allows your foot to conform naturally to the shoe's upper for greater comfort.

SuperNatural Fit System: The Giro SuperNatural Fit System includes an adjustable arch support kit with Low, Medium, and High arch supports. You can adjust arch support to enhance fit and pedaling efficiency while reducing the chances of common discomforts like hotspots, numbness, and cramping.

John S. ★★★★★

I’ve put these through a century ride and the Synchwire upper holds my foot securely without any hot spots, even in the heat. The fit is dialed right out of the box, and they’re noticeably lighter than my old pair.

John A. ★★★★★

The Synchwire mesh upper feels incredibly breathable on long rides, yet still provides a snug, supportive fit. I've noticed the weight is almost unnoticeable compared to my old shoes, which makes a real difference on climbs.

Daniel X. ★★★★☆

The weight is the first thing you notice—it genuinely rivals much more minimal shoes, which is exactly what I was after for long climbs. I've put about 200 miles on them and the Synchwire upper is holding up great, no stretching or hot spots. Only wish the toe box was a touch roomier for summer ridi
