Installed these on my son's BMX and the ribbed texture gives him way more control when he's trying tricks. The flanged end keeps his hands from sliding off during landings too.

These grips are a decent replacement for my BMX, and the ribbed texture gives decent traction. The flanged ends help keep my hands in place, but I found them a bit stiff at first. They do the job, but weren't quite as comfortable as I hoped.
